Jesus is coming again

“But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” 2 Peter 3:8

I was down at the conference this week for a 3-day meeting. It was a very productive, fruitful event where the pastor gains a lot through the meeting. However, my mind was focused on something else. My family is coming back on the last day of the meeting! The only thing I can think of in my mind is getting ready to leave for the airport as soon as the meeting is over.

Hyemi and Sebin were to arrive at 9pm at Minneapolis on Wednesday. The meeting was to end at 2:30 in the afternoon. The only thing I could focus on is the clock. The meeting went overtime for another 30 minutes. As soon as it was over I rushed to the car and began driving. As some of you might know, it takes just over 4 hours from the conference office to Minneapolis. Driving long distance can be tiring, but to me it was such a short drive. What only mattered was that I can finally see my family. 4 hours of driving is surely nothing compared to the 50 days they were gone.

At last I got to the airport way ahead of time. I checked the monitor and the flight had finally arrived. People were rushing out. I peeped to look for my family but I couldn’t find them! I waited for extra minutes. I realized that they were taking the elevator instead of the escalator because of the stroller. So I turned and walked toward the other side of the terminal and there was Hyemi and Sebin. Sebin jumped out of the stroller and ran toward me and we were together at last!.

We have been saying that Jesus is coming soon since 2000 years ago and He hasn’t come back yet. We say God has His timing. Only God knows when. But one thing we can be assured of is that God is more anxious to see us than we are to see Him. He is doing His best to return back soon. Jesus is coming again.
